The SRS staff is concerned with the safety of all students, faculty, staff and visitors on the campus. We work in conjunction with the employees of the University to develop and maintain various programs designed to protect the campus population from safety and health concerns. Included are programs such as Confined Space Entry, Respiratory Protection, Fire Prevention and Personal Protective Equipment.
SRS deals with a wide variety of concerns including working conditions, building code requirements, work procedures and accident investigations. We perform periodic inspections of campus buildings for compliance with fire codes, OSHA regulations and general unsafe actions or conditions.
