Basic Annual Safety Training
Target Audience: Basic Annual Safety Training, often referred to as the BAST, is an annual requirement for all UNM employees. This means anybody who receives a UNM paycheck (to include full time, part time, temporary, work study and student employees). Sometimes, it is appropriate to offer this training to volunteers.
Purpose: Share basic safety and health information with UNM employees. The intent is to provide enough information so employees can make good safety decisions.
Content: Basic Annual Safety Training focuses on emergency preparedness. It provides information about different types of emergencies and how we, as UNM employees, can respond in a safe manner.
