Radiation Safety Refresher
Target Audience: Includes anyone who may work with radioactive materials at a University of New Mexico facility, or under the authorization of the UNM Radioactive Materials License. This training is intended as refresher training for those working with radioactive materials. It is not adequate training to allow a person to work with radioactive materials without direct supervision. Those individuals needing more comprehensive, or different, radiation safety training should contact Larry Cleveland in the Radiation Safety office by telephone (277-0317) or e-mail (lcleveld@unm.edu).
Purpose: Serve as an annual refresher for those persons working with radioactive materials covered by the UNM Radioactive Material License.
Content: Contains information on regulatory requirements, safe work practices, and UNM policies and procedures for the use of radioactive materials.
Notice: Where possible, radioactive material users should complete this training through Learning Central. Those using computers with non-Windows operating systems may have difficulty with the Radiation Safety Refresher file formats in Learning Central. Those individuals should click on the Radiation Safety Refresher module below. After you have completed your review of the Radiation Safety Training material, please go to Learning Central and complete the Quiz for the training. If you do not have access to Learning Central, or otherwise have difficulty with the on-line Quiz, please contact Larry Cleveland for a printed copy.
