Tuberculosis Prevention
Target Audience: Includes any UNM employee who may have occupational exposure to Tuberculosis (TB). Occupational exposure is defined at UNM as potential exposure at least once a month.
Purpose: Serve as an annual refresher for those persons taking Tuberculosis training to fulfill the their annual OSHA requirement. It is not recommended for persons who have never taken any Tuberculosis training. Those persons should take a class and have an opportunity to pose questions to an instructor.
Content: Provides information on descriptions of TB, how it is transmitted, methods of early identification, engineering controls and personal protective equipment.
